Love the concept and the way it is turning out. Have you considered a gel coat to give the fabric more body?

Did a gel coat on the fabric and the backing paper before I cut. If I do another, I’ll try 2 coats!

I used Golden Artist Colors Regular Gel (Matte) – dries transparent.
The paper is a thin tissue type paper I got at a local Artist Supply Store. It is similar to the ones available at Hollanders.com. (although I’ve never purchased from them.
I also sometimes use a heavier cotton paper I bought locally. It is similar to the ones available at custompaper.com. And I have used regular scrapbooking card stock, although it tends to wrinkle when I glue the two surfaces together.

Liquitex also makes a matte super heavy gel that dries clear, if you need a little extra body.
